Angelo Valente

I obtained a Master’s Degree in Mathematics and Statistics for Life and Social Sciences at the University of Trento with a thesis on modeling non-local cascades in complex networks. I am currently a PhD student in Mathematics at the University of Trento and Fondazione Bruno Kessler, where I work within the Health Emergencies group on mathematical models applied to the study of infectious diseases.

Research Interests

I work on epidemiological models and apply statistical and computational methods to study how infectious diseases spread within a population. My research focuses in particular on vector-borne diseases, considering human-human and human-vector interactions in space and time, control strategies, and the dynamics of disease importation from endemic regions.
