Valentina Rosano

In October 2025, I obtained my Master’s degree in Mathematics from the National University of Rosario, Argentina. For my Master’s thesis, I worked on the Mimetic Finite Difference method for two-dimensional elliptic problems with mixed boundary conditions, and on its application to a computational fluid dynamics problem arising in the modeling of solar collectors. In parallel with my thesis, I also collaborated on a project focused on optimizing the linear solvers used in the mathematical model of solar collectors. Since November 2025, I have been a PhD scholarship holder at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Trento.

Research Interests

My main research interests include reduced-order 1D and 0D models for blood flow dynamics in the cardiovascular system; modeling and studying the role of the venous system and the sympathetic nervous system in hypertension; and exploring the potential connection between intracranial hypertension and arterial hypertension.
