Mattia Sensi
I obtained my PhD in Trento in 2021, under the supervision of Andrea Pugliese. Afterwards, I was a postdoctoral researcher at TU Delft (2021), Inria Sophia Antipolis Centre at Université Côte d'Azur (2021 - 2023) and Politecnico di Torino (2023 - 2025).
Research Interests
My main research interests are mathematical modelling of epidemics, dynamical systems and Geometric Singular Perturbation Theory (GSPT). Many of my papers focus on systems evolving on multiple time scales, described by singularly perturbed systems of Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs). My current postdoc project is devoted to mathematical modelling of avian flu, with a particular focus on the spreading of this disease in the North-East of Italy.
